Rising Damp Solutions
Rising damp is more than an unsightly problem; it can damage your property’s structure. At Glenn Slater Contractors Ltd, based in Clitheroe, we tackle moisture creeping up walls, causing tide marks, peeling paint, and musty odours. Untreated damp may lead to salt contamination and timber decay. We provide tailored, long-lasting solutions to protect homes across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. For guidance, visit our knowledge centre for tips and advice on preventing damp.

Our Rising Damp Process
We begin with a detailed survey to identify the root cause, whether it’s a bridged damp proof course, high external ground levels, or a failed DPC. Treatments include chemical DPC injection, physical membranes, removing salt-contaminated plaster, specialist replastering, and skirting renewal. Every step is carefully executed, ensuring your property remains protected for the long term. We also offer condensation control solutions as part of our comprehensive moisture management services.

Penetrating Damp Repairs
We address penetrating damp caused by pointing failure, gutter or downpipe leaks, and porous masonry. Our team carries out masonry repairs, repointing, cavity clearing, water repellent applications, and external detailing. We focus on resolving the source of moisture to prevent future issues, keeping homes and businesses safe, dry, and structurally sound.
DPC And Membrane Installation
At Glenn Slater Contractors Ltd, we install chemical and physical damp proof courses, floor membranes, and linked drainage systems. Plastering is carried out to BS standards for lasting protection. We also coordinate with Gas Safe and accredited electricians when required, providing a complete, professional service for properties in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Hay john it’s Jade. I wanted to say thank you so much for arranging everything that you have, for giving me clear information and advice and for being very kind and understanding with me. It makes all the difference and means the world. Il update you aswell on Monday to let you know if the plasters dry yet. The lovely gentleman who did the plastering said he thought Monday/Tuesday too. And then all next week I can be in any day for the paint. Thank you so much, Jade

Metal gate fabrication repair.
Thank you for the update. Could you please confirm whether the hinges were adjusted or replaced? I'm curious because our internal Repairs Team attended to this gate on four or five occasions and failed to repair it. I knew the moment it was assigned to Glenn Slater that it would be resolved without a problem. Based on my experience working for *****, there are not many sub contractors I would personally recommend, but you are most certainly one that I would. Thanks
